This week at the CES conference in Las Vegas, Victorinox unveiled a new range of their iconic Swiss Army knives featuring a new tool – a flip-out flash drive.

Available in capacities up to a HUGE 1 terabyte, this beast also boasts some fairly serious technology.  A specially-designed connector allows you to use the flash drive in both USB and eSATA ports, and it supports both hardware and software encryption using AES 256-bit.  It also has an OLED display right on the flash drive for labelling contents, and sensibly the drive comes off the knife to make it airport-security-friendly.

How much does all this cost?  Around  a cool $3,000 (£2,000 ish) for the 1TB version.  But on the plus side you can also use it to get stones out of a horse’s hoof…

EMI and Apple have joined forces to announce the forthcoming launch of this custom USB stick containing The Beatles’ full digitally remastered catalogue – that’s some 14 albums, in case you were wondering.

In addition to all the Fab Four’s music ever, the unique 16GB device comes pre-loaded with 13 mini-documentaries, album art, liner notes and rare photos.

Limited to 30,000 units worldwide and costing £200 this is probably one for the committed, but it’s a great gift idea for the die-hard fan.

Release date for the UK is 7th December 2009 – you can pre-order via the official Beatles UK Store.

If you feel the need to carry a miniature ninja sword around with you at all times then you probably have more to worry about than the cost of this Ninja Kunai USB flash drive, but at £80 for 2GB you may still have to think twice.Still, if you’re a bona fide ninja you can probably get away with calling it a business expense – especially if you run down to accounts personally and wave your ninja sword.  Oh, and apparently you can store data on it too.
